This blog collects thoughts on a new research project by Tessa Zettel delving into the decolonial politics of edible gardens – some known as ‘creole gardens’ lost on 17th Century Caribbean islands, others taking root now in the city of Paris. It may have a variety of outcomes in the future, including writing, events and maps.

The project is part of a 6-month residency at the Cité Internationale des Arts, Paris, supported by the Power Institute and the Art Gallery of New South Wales Studios in Paris scholarships.

This project has been assisted by the Australian Government through the Australia Council for the Arts, its arts funding and advisory body.
